Bedwas Gymnastics and Trampolining Club offers a wide range of classes and opportunities for children and young people to get involved in gymnastics and trampolining, all delivered in a purpose-built facility by qualified and passionate coaches.
From the moment little ones can walk confidently, they can begin their gymnastics journey at Bedwas. The club offers structured classes for children aged 2 and above, helping to build balance, coordination, strength and confidence in a fun and supportive environment. Sessions are designed to suit different age groups and abilities, ensuring every child can learn at their own pace.
For younger children (2.5+), Bedwas provides coach-led preschool gymnastics classes for parent and child. These sessions focus on fundamental movement skills, early gymnastics techniques, and, for those who want to progress further, the chance to be introduced to competitive pathways in a relaxed and encouraging setting.
The majority of children and young people (5-16yrs) attend recreational gymnastics classes. Children from all backgrounds, abilities and disability are catered for. These classes build on the fundamental skills of gymnastics in a friendly environment. Gymnasts with a disability may require their own group within a quieter mainstream class whilst others cope well within a mixed ability group.
For children showing natural ability both a Competitive-Recreational squad and Women's Artistic squad is available. The increased time in the gym helps these gymnasts to progress to do more difficult gymnastic skills. These gymnasts take part in competitions which match their level of skill.
For those who enjoy working as part of a team, the club offers TeamGym, a dynamic and fast-growing discipline that combines tumbling, trampette and floor routines. It's a fantastic way for gymnasts to develop skills, build friendships and perform together as a team, whether recreationally or in competition.
Trampolining classes are available for children of primary school age and above. Using our dedicated trampolining space, participants learn a range of skills from basic jumps to more advanced routines, all under the supervision of trained coaches. Whether trying it out for the first time or looking to build on existing skills, these sessions are always energetic and enjoyable.
In addition to our gymnastics and trampolining offerings, the club also has an upstairs room available to hire. Ideal for small group sessions, meetings or community activities, the space provides a flexible option for local groups or individuals looking for a welcoming venue.
